Description
Coatee, other ranks’ or non commissioned officers’, Royal Leith Volunteer Infantry, 1806 (c). Scarlet wool with blue wool facings and gilt buttons. The Leith Volunteers raised one company in 1794, followed by a second in 1797. After 1803 it had raised a battalion of ten companies.
