Manuscript letter, with transcript, from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from Calasyna, 29 July 1854. Reporting the outbreak of cholera, although not in his regiment. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
