Collins' Royal Diary for 1940. Contains daily press reports on the progress of World War Two, with related observations by Bradfield. There is little personal detail, although there are a few references to his work in the Local Defence Volunteers and Air Raid Precautions. From the papers of Lt Gen Sir Ernest William Charles Bradfield (1880-1963), Indian Medical Service, 1899-1944.
