Within a wreath, the dexter side of laurel, the sinister oak, an oval frosted circlet enclosing the word ‘REPOSITORY’ above two crossed mortars, barrels upwards, the mortars themselves above a pile of shot, the pile of shot being above the date ‘1898’. Reverse bears three loop fittings. Badge backed with a piece of oval blue cloth with holes round the edge sewn onto a larger piece of oval scarlet cloth.
