Ms letter to Maj Gen Cockburn from Head Quarters, Colchester, 16th November 1809. Concerning instructions from the Inspector of Hospitals for troops to be issued with flannel or wool shirts for the winter, to avoid further issues with respiratory problems. Also includes a copy of a circular from the Adjutant General at Horse Guards, stating that on orders from the King, the widows and children of soldiers killed in Walcheren, should receive double the ususal allowance.
