Manuscript letter from Sir William Lee, Baronet, in Aylesbury to his son Lt Col William Lee, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons at Windsor, 6 Mar 1799. Letter informs him of the death of Miss Lee, William's first cousin once removed. According the the custom of the family they observe three weeks mourning. From a collection of 112 letters and envelopes addressed to Lt Col William Lee, 5th Baronet, 16th (or The Queen’s) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, 1749-1810. Also includes photocopies of other letters from the same correspondence.
