Description
Manuscript copy of a letter from Horse Guards, 30 Jun 1858. Letter acknowledges receipt of an extract from a paper on fortifications written by the grandfather of Capt Addison in 1786. From a collection of papers concerning inventions, relating to naval warfare, submitted to the War Department by Addison, late Bombay Army, 1845-1865.
