Description
Letter from Pte Jack Sadler, D Coy 15th Warwickshire Regiment, to his brother Tom Sadler, dated 4 Jan 1916. Just come off sentry duty: ‘A sniper has just biffed the steel plate behind which I was watching’. Awful mud. Tell anyone joining up to choose anything but the infantry. Associated with D Coy 15th Warwickshire Regiment. Associated with World War One, Western Front (1914-1918). Sadler’s family lived in Birmingham and in Staffordshire, and were involved in the manufacturing industry.
