Description
Photograph showing a part of the Suez Canal, with trees lining it nearby. Possibly taken in 1931 when the 2nd Battalion Middlesex Regiment was returning the the UK from India and Sudan. From a collection of 60 photographs relating to the service of Bandsman Louis Isaac Rayner, 2nd Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, 1920s/30s. Photos are taken of band members, travelling, local people and culture in places India, Sudan, France and the UK.
