Gilt, rimless. An eight-pointed ribbed incised star with the top ray replaced by a King’s crown, in the centre of the star a circle inscribed VESTIGIA NULLA RETRORSUM (No footsteps backwards), in the centre of the circle on a lined ground the numeral 5 over the letters D G.  Reverse marked with a circle with both edges dotted inscribed FIRMIN & SONS • LONDON •.
