Photograph of Lt Col George Arthur Ferguson, Grenadier Guards,taken in Montreal, Canada, 1863. Head and torso portrait only, he is looking across to the left hand side of the photograph. He is dressed in what appears to be military uniform, with a thick wool collar, designed to keep warm because of the Canadian climate. From an album of 202 photographs in the Grenadier Guards Photograph Archive compiled by or presented to Surgeon Major James John Marjoribanks Wardrop. The album is entitled: ‘Personal Album Surgeon Major Wardrup [sic], The Regiment, 1858-1868’, but covers the period 1854-1872. Mainly officers portraits. Grenadier Guards reference number 2.
