Letter from 23207 L/Cpl Frank Bentley, 2nd Bn Grenadier Guards, to his brother Cpl Arthur Bentley, Royal Army Medical Corps; written from Chelsea Barracks, postmarked 24 Sept 1915; Frank describes the Battalion sports and how he won a prize ‘for being dressed as a lady’; he expects his photograph to appear in The Daily Mirror; Frank Bentley was killed in action at Gauche Wood, near Gouzeaucourt, 1 Dec 1917; his name appears on the Cambrai Memorial, Louveral.
