Letter from Major John Farmer at Leith to Thomas Morgan at York, 22 Oct 1659; Farmer informs Morgan that General Monck and the army in Scotland deplore the expulsion of Parliament by the army in London and is unanimous in its desire to assert Parliament’s freedom and that General Monck has converted his regiment of dragoons into one of horse.
