Description
Sudanese knife formerly owned by Ali Dinar, Sultan of Darfur. 1916 (c). With double concave wooden hilt with horn-like pommel and 'fore-guard', the form of the hilt is like the Sudan arm-knives of the type recovered at Omdurman but with a longer blade. With leather covered wooden scabbard with white snakeskin binding. Associated with World War One, Darfur (1916).
