He is standing, wearing undress uniform with a frock coat and his peaked forage cap rests on the furniture beside him. He leans on the back of a chair upon which a dog sits. From an album of 202 photographs in the Grenadier Guards Photograph Archive compiled by or presented to Surgeon Major James John Marjoribanks Wardrop.
