Description
Letter written to his family by CQMS Harry Hopwood, 6th Bn Manchester Regiment, nd, possibly Dec 1914. Describes trench digging and other exercises in the desert. Associated with World War One, Egypt and Palestine (1914-1918). Many of the letters are represented only by TS transcripts, whilst in other cases the originals survive with and without transcripts.
