7 June 1856, Claim by Andrew Shields, 30th Regt, to be investigated. One of 26 letters similar to, and perhaps abstracted from another bundle of letters from the Codrington Papers, and one to the Savings Account of the 1st Bn Rifle Brigade (May-June 1856). From the papers of Gen Sir William John Codrington (1804-1884), Commander in Chief during the Crimean War (1854-1856), 1855-1856.
