Photograph: Gateway leading into the Khaisa Bagh [sic]/ Lucknow 1858. Showing men wearing turbans standing next to a gateway which is decorated with mermaid motifs and has scroll shaped columns with statues on top. From a photograph album of 37 photographs, 1858, taken by F Beato and compiled by Capt Edward Impey, 31st Bengal Native Infantry. Associated with Indian Mutiny (1857-1859) and India.
