Description
Manuscript letter from the India Office, London, 6 June 1859. Addressed to Lt (later FM Lord) Frederick Sleigh Roberts, Bengal Horse Artillery, summoning him to Buckingham Palace to receive the VC from Queen Victoria. Lt Roberts was awarded the VC during the Indian Mutiny.
