Description
Letter, 28 Dec 1845. From Gen Charles Napier in India to his sister Lady Bunbury, informing her war with the Sikhs has started and that Sir Henry Hardinge and Sir Hugh Gough are advancing, while his own force consisted of 10000 men and 50 cannon. One of eighteen letters relating to the service of Gen Sir Charles Napier, 1807-1850. Associated with Sind (1843) and 1st Sikh War (1845-1846).
