Soldier’s letter written by Sgt Henry Grey, HM 96th Regiment of Foot, while on the march to Lahore to England, 20 Feb 1851. Acknowledging notification that he has received a legacy. However, his enclosures made his letter grossly overweight for a soldier’s letter and there was a hefty surcharge on postage.
