Manuscript letter from Trp Sgt Maj (later RSM and Riding Master) George Cruse, 1st (or Royal) Dragoons, to his wife, from Camp Adrianople Road, 22 Aug 1854. Showing his anxiety to be at the front, and marvelling at the incompetence of the senior officers. Associated with the Crimean War (1854-1856).
