One of four pages of a copy letter to the Secretary at War from Maj Gen Sir George Nugent, requesting retrospective approval for advancing two months pay to men willing to be discharged in Jamaica, since they were more likely to reenlist for seven years, Jamaica, 2 Jul 1803.
