Description
Vote of thanks addressed to Maj Gen Sir William John Codrington, Commander-in-Chief of British forces in Crimea, by the 'Tartars [tatars] of the Valley of Baidar', in appreciation of their protection by the English army and complaining of ill-treatment by the French army, circa 1856. Together with a ms English translation.
