Ms letter written to Andrew Caldwell from Bruxelles, September 9th 1785. Arrived in Bruxelles from Ghent. Weather very bad. He details the purchase of 8 pictures for fifty one guineas. He believes there will be war on the Continent. This morning 4000 men marched from here to Boi le Duc. The remainder of the garrison go on Monday. The Emperor has demanded a positive and final answer, which must be given by 15th.
