Khaki corded cotton. Knee patches and strapping of self fabric, the knee patches padded. Each knee vent is fastened with two buttons (now absent) with corresponding buttonholes. On each front a diagonally placed pocket. Six plain brass buttons at upper edge on inside, two at centre back and two on each front. Fly fastening. All buttons bear the manufacturer's details: A ALEEM AND SONS 1939. Drab cotton lining at waist and fly with similar fabric pockets. Lining and pockets stamped: 3 H7 S H AND H 3 ? 1 39 7. Back waist lining stamped: 8 W↑D III ?
