Photograph of two men on board the deck of a small yacht called ‘Sally’, sailing on the water near Hythe, Kent, 1888. A handwritten caption says that the photographs were taken by ‘Vaughan-Lee’ - possibly Lt A V H Vaughan-Lee, Royal Horse Guards. One of the other men is called ‘Doyle’ - possibly William Sherwood Doyle, 2nd Royal West Kent Regiment. Both men were attending the School of Musketry at Hythe in 1888.

From an album of 24 photographs compiled by or presented to the Honourable Edward G V Stanley, 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards, 1886-1889 (c).
