Royal South Lincolnshire Militia button, 1833-1855
Silver plate, 2-piece, rim.  A garter strap inscribed ROYAL • SOUTH • LINCOLN, in the centre of the strap and 8-pointed star with the top ray replaced by a crown. In the centre of the star a circle with 29 (29 was the precedence number from 1833).  Reverse marked with a dotted circle, around the outer edge • C PITT & CO • 50 ST MARTINS LANE, inside the circle LONDON.
