Officer's cap badge (?), cloth, wire and gilt metal, 1874 (c). Inscription: embroidered, front description: gold numerals within circlet in strings of gold bugle, circular loops to tie. White cloth ground, raised centre, traces of red thread. Inscription: embroidered centre transcription, '43'. From a collection of 18 items, associated with 43rd (Monmouthshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry).
