Description
8th Royal Veteran Battalion button, 1804-1816 Gilt, one-piece, flat. A garter strap inscribed ROYAL • VETERAN • BATN topped by a crown. In the centre of the strap the numeral 8, around the strap a laurel wreath divided at the top by a crown. No back mark. Collection of buttons associated with British Napoleonic Wars, Veterans, Garrisons, Fencibles and Volunteers. From the collection of Maj H G Parkyn.
