Description
Letter written by Nigel Gunnis to his mother, 8 Jul 1944. Wished mother could move to Wooly or Louise’s in Gunfield, little news, new second in command was loud and vigorous and made him feel exhausted, new 2 i/e coming on Monday, haven’t got any girls to take out to dinner and dance after his ‘pin-up’ girl left. From a collection of letters of Maj Nigel Gunnis, Royal Artillery, 1939-1947. Written while Maj Gunnis was serving in the United Kingdom, North Africa, Italy and with the British Mission to the Allied Control Commission in Romania.
