Ms letter addressed to Eliza. London 2nd June 1810. He is expected to sail from Portsmouth soon. He met with the Duke of Kent who told him about the attempt to murder his brother the Duke of Cumberland, while he was sleeping at home. The man believed to have carried out the attack, who worked for the Duke and lived in the house, was later found with his throat cut.
