Letter from Dr Alexander Cumming at Scutari to Dr John Hall, Inspector General of Hospitals Army of the East, 10 Apr 1855. ‘I agree with you about the Sanitary Com. They went mooning about here telling us what everyone with eyes & nose could not fail to detect and have left the place in much the same state they found it.’ From a collection of correspondence received by Sir John Hall, Inspector General of Hospitals in Crimea, 1854-1856.
