Booklet relating to Lt Col Andrew Wilson Hearsey’s claim that in his post as Grain Keeper to the Army he was entitled to the ‘Gunny Bags’ and an allowance of five percent upon the issues of grain, both of which had been denied him. He seems to have held the post 1782-1786. Part of collection of papers of Lt Col Andrew Wilson Hearsey, Bengal Infantry, 1781-1797. Associated with the 2nd Mysore War (1780-1784). Inscribed on front cover: ‘Memorial of Andrew Wilson Hearsey, a Captain of Infantry upon the Bengal Establishment.’
