One of three volumes of letters written by Jack Gilmore, Sir John Gilmour, 2nd Bart. while serving with 20th Coy, Imperial Yeomanry (Fife and Forfar Contingent), 1899-1901. Typescript translation by Dr Patrick Mileham. Published in an edited form as 'Clearly My Duty' by the Tuckwell Press, 1996. Associated with the Boer War (1899-1902).
