Description
Manuscript letter to Lady Lucy Foley from Lady Louisa Connolly, 6 Feb 1809. One of two manuscript letters to Lady Lucy Foley relating to the reported death of her cousin Charles Napier at Corunna. Although listed as dead he was actually only wounded and taken prisoner. He was exchanged and rejoined his regiment (the 50th Foot) in January 1810. Associated with the Battle of Corunna, Peninsular War (1808-1814), 1809.
