One of two items associated with Col Cyrus Trapaud, 3rd Regiment, or The Buffs, he also commanded 70th Foot and the 52nd Foot, 1735-1783. Col Trapaud fought at Dettingen, Falkirk, Culloden, Lauffield and in Martinique and Guadeloupe. Photograph taken from the original portrait by Sir Joshua Reynolds. Col Trapaud died in 1803.
