Cover, 1914-1917 (c); purpose unknown; when unfolded is shaped as a horse shoe, formed from two semi circles of plain unbleached linen sewn together; the ends are hemmed and pierced with five buttonholes; a length of cord is fixed to it for securing when wrapped around a life belt shaped object; owned by Maj A I Fraser DSO, 9th Hodson’s Horse.
