Description
Sheath for somali knife, 1915 (c). Associated with Mohammed Bin Abdullah Hassan or 'Mad Mullah'. Made of cream coloured parchment, with broad brown leather belt, decorated with finely stitched thongs. Believed to have been taken from Wasengali irregular, who was killed in the Mad Mullah Operation, Berbera.
