Small silver medallion.
Awarded to a recruit, 4th Bn, C Coy The Buffs Regiment, 30 Jan 1913.
With part of a chain, and a central medallion within a wreath, illustrating a cannon. 
On the 25th May 1912 a recruiting drive was held by the 4th Bn, C Coy, The Buffs Regiment at Margate Hippodrome, resulting in the addition of 55 recruits. 
At a meeting there on 30 Jan 1913, the Mayor A Leon Abutt, J P Esq, presented a gold, silver and bronze medal to the best of those recruits and 46 medallions to the remaining 46 others, 6 were found medically unfit.
