Description
Mess jacket, from uniform of Gen Sir George Cooper, Army Staff, 1950-1983. Made by Flights Ltd, Camberley, Surrey, 1956. Wool cloth; scarlet with blue facings. Originally made as Royal Engineers mess jacket in 1950. Cooper became a General in 1981.
