Sweetheart brooch, Scots Guards, 1917-1918. Associated with Dr Maj A J Wales. Silver, star similar to the star of the Order of The Thistle, inscribed ‘NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT’. Hallmarked Birmingham, ‘M&B’, 1917-1918 (it is difficult to decipher the stamps, but it is likely to be 1917 (c)-1918, although it could possibly also be 1942-43).
