Description
Letter, Oxford 5 Jun 1644. From Hyde and others to Col Edward Hopton. Orders him to take the remains of Lord Hopton’s army to Godstow House and Wolvercott and to fortify his quarters there. From a collection of photographs of 27 documents in Hereford City Library relating to Sir Richard Hopton and his son Sir Edward, knighted in 1604 and 1645 respectively. Associated with the English Civil War (1642-1649).
