Letter from Gen John MacDonald, 9 May 1831. Addressed to Drummond asking him to use his favours on behalf of Lord Fitroy’s nephew who is about to take his examination for Woolwich. Drummond’s reply is written on the top of the letter, 10 May 1831. He says he will do his best providing the candidate has necessary knowledge.
