Description
Lucknow, taken from top of Chatter Munzib Palace, 1857. Tinted lithograph by M and N Hanhart after Lt William Robert Moorsom, 52nd (Oxfordshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry). Published by W Dufour, 1857. Associated with the Indian Mutiny (1857-1859). Whilst serving as Deputy Assistant Quarter Master General to Sir H Havelock’s force, Moorsom was killed at Lucknow in 1858.
