Candlestick, 1904-1907. Silver, maker's mark, 'W.G.', hallmarked London, 1904-1905. Tapering square base with gadrooned edge, stems are based on corinthian columns. One of a pair. With crest of the Connaught Rangers. One of the grease pans is missing , one has a beaded edge. The base has a metal plate and is filled with composition for stability. Presented by Capt W S Alexander and returned to him on the disbanding of the Regiment in 1922.
