Description
Cotton printed handkerchief, possibly made in Mysore, India, 1799 (c). Purple with an all over lozenge pattern, the crossed lines being pink and white. Found in a leather covered wicker box also containing 1971-07-3-1. Associated with Tipu Sultan, 4th Mysore War (1799).
