Description
Pouch associated with Long Melford Yeomanry Cavalry (Suffolk), 1842 (c). Belonged to Maj N C Barnardiston who became Captain of the Long Melford Yeomanry Cavalry in 1850 and Major in 1862. Green leather pouch lined with similar leather, top trimmed with two bands of silver embroidery. White metal stud fastening. On inside of flap a silver plaque bearing an inscription.
