Description
Storage box for handheld Sprite detector, 2006. Associated with Operation TELIC, Iraq (2003-2011) 2003-2009 and Operation HERRICK, Afghanistan (2002-2014) 2004- . Sprite was developed for the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Search Community to identify IED components while investigating buried devices up close. It uses infrared and thermal imaging detection technologies and is designed to withstand the climatic changes in the environments it is used.
