Description
Army issue metal mess tin, used by Lt John Fredrick Wright, RASC, while serving and as a prisoner of war (POW) in the Far East, during the Second World War, 1942-45 (c). His name is inscribed on the side. Part of a collection of objects belonging to Lt John Fredrick Wright RASC while a POW in the Far East, during the Second World War (1939-45). He was captured in Singapore on 16 February 1942. He was held in Changi prison (1942) among other POW camps.
